LIFT History
LIFT is an organization founded by professional Latinas who come together to help other immigrant women adapt, integrate, and thrive in Canada.
We offer workshops, support, and opportunities to create a new life full of possibilities.
LIFT (Latinas Inspiring Future Transformation) was born from the desire to join forces to support
immigrant women in Canada. Founded by Paula, Iliana, Mary and Ivonne, four women
from different Latin countries, we seek to share our experiences and knowledge to
empower others.
Values: Solidarity, inclusion, empowerment, and community.
Vision: Create a strong support network where immigrant women can achieve their
maximum potential.

I am Iliana Arana, a Cuban woman who arrived alone in Canada over 17 years ago, with dreams, fears, and the determination to build a better future. Despite having a master's degree in business in Cuba, I had to start over, studying accounting in Canada and navigating a completely new system. Over the years, I became an accountant and then
I am Iliana Arana, a Cuban woman who arrived alone in Canada over 17 years ago, with dreams, fears, and the determination to build a better future. Despite having a master's degree in business in Cuba, I had to start over, studying accounting in Canada and navigating a completely new system. Over the years, I became an accountant and then a financial and mindset strategist, helping Latina business owners take control of their finances and strengthen their mindset for success. It wasn't an easy path, but each challenge made me stronger and reaffirmed my purpose: to empower more women to also achieve their goals. That passion led me to found Latinas Inspiring Future Transformation (LIFT), a community where other immigrant women can find guidance, support, and tools to thrive in Canada. I know what it's like to arrive without knowing anyone, to feel lost, and to doubt one's potential. But I also know that with the right guidance and the right mindset, anything is possible. Today, my mission is to help you, too, build the life and business of your dreams.

Venezuelan-Portuguese, I am a Chemical Engineer by profession and I am part of LIFT because I believe in the importance of supporting immigrant women in Canada. As a director, my goal is to contribute to the growth of this community by sharing experiences and creating connections that facilitate their integration and development in this beautiful country.

I am Chilean, an immigrant to Canada, and passionate about social change. I am a speech therapist by profession and have a master's degree in management and human resources. My purpose as director at LIFT is to support immigrant women in their process of adaptation and growth. I believe in the power of community, sisterhood, and genuine support.
